Blind Receiving

Blind Receiving is generally used only when there is a production facility associated with the company that will send unexpected inventory to the warehouse or when customer returns arrive without preauthorization. In such instances, the items are received by scanning the item bar-codes and inventory adjustments are automatically updated on the host system. Document numbers such as waybill, PO, or Transfer # can be associated with a shipment as a notation.
