Put-away

Pinpoint Warehouse:Solutions support a blended put-away model which recognizes pre-established storage bins while still allowing for "operator random" put-away tasks. Primary bins are normally defined by the warehouse manager according to size and location to allow for efficient picking. When inventory is staged for put-away, an operator will receive a task directing the products to the primary bins providing that space and unit of measure restrictions permit. If the primary bin is unable to store the inventory, the operator will be directed to other available locations within the warehouse where the product can be stored. Surplus stock or new product inventory can be placed in any empty single product location or any multi-product bin that the operator chooses. Upon depositing inventory into a bin, the operator is required to scan the bin location to confirm its storage location within the system. The operator will be directed back to the put-away staging area after completing each load.
