The end-user's requirement for software with specific functional and cosmetic specifications places a costly burden on the implementation team, but custom programming is risky and often entails high cost.
In order to minimize cost and risk, Sentai applications incorporate approximately 1000 software switches called parameters. These parameters allow each site to be individually tailored without custom programming. Sentai's expanded dictionary utilities permit software updates and/or a dump and load of the database without affecting existing parameter settings. Parameters provide the ability to open or close functionality (including global parameters such as default values for specific fields, user/supplier/customer specific parameters that determine valid combinations, or the ability to view specific data) as needed. Some examples are provided below.
