Bill of Materials (BoM)

The Bill of Materials (BoM) module is designed for distributors involved in assembly, light manufacturing, and various other value-add processes. Bill of Materials allows you to handle component items which are built for stock or built to order whether you do it in-house or contract externally. We offer an unlimited level BoM system designed to enhance controls over the material requirements and costing of assembled items. If what happens between the time you receive your goods and the time you ship them is important, then BoM is important.

With the BoM module, you will be able to

• use any type of product as a component
• display any BoM components on-line to assist in the determination of product assembly information
• attach notes and assembly instructions at any point in the BoM
• track bills by comparing two revisions of a BoM on-screen at the same time
• accurately price and assemble using powerful Unit of Measure conversions 
• track everything from drawing and change order numbers to quality control and personnel
• add expenses of non-perpetual costs lsuch as labor
• create lotted or serialized bills and lotted or serialized components
• identify sub-bills during the order process, edit them, and display them in a multi-level hierarchy
• know that stock on hand for sales and replenishment recognizes BoM commitments
